Pregnancy
Avoid all soda in pregnancy. Plain soda is high in carbon dioxide which can cause excess gas buildup. Other sodas have lots of sugar which is bad for you.
Postpartum
New mums shouldn't drink soda, as it contains large amounts of carbon dioxide, which affects your body's calcium absorption and can cause calcium deficiency. Moreover, most sodas contain high amounts of sugar and preservatives.
Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding mothers should avoid soda in general. It contains carbon dioxide, and affects your body's calcium absorption.
Baby
Soda is unsuitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
