Ingredients

  • 350 g Pork for making roast pork (thin block)
  • 40 ml soy sauce
  • 100 ml Sake
  • 100 ml rice wine (mirin) or white wine
  • 50 ml hot water
  • 1 piece/clove each, Ginger and garlic

Steps

  1. Make the thin block of pork ready.
  2. Brown the surface of the pork in a frying pan. You don't need to cook it through, you just need to brown it.
  3. Put the pork and the ingredients in the rice cooker and switch it on. If you have any leftover bits of green onion or leek and other aromatic vegetables, put those in too.
  4. The pork is done when the rice cooker switches off. Slice into your desired thickness.
