Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ red onion , chopped
  • 1 garlic clove , minced
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves , chopped
  • 3 cups diced canned tomatoes
  • 1 pound whole grain spaghetti pasta

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil. Sautee garlic and onion for about 5mins.
  2. Add in the tomatoes and basil. Season with salt and stir to combine well.
  3. Cook the spaghetti according to the package and drain.
  4. Toss the pasta into the sauce and serve.
